<p>A method for user smooth handoff between BSs. The method comprises: transmitting data to BSs in active set and caching the data; the serving BS in the active set transmits the data to user terminal; the user terminal transmits feedback information to BSs of each cell in active set after received data; BSs in the active set update the cached data of itself according to the feedback information, and transmit the required retransmission data to UE. The present invention realizes retransmission in MAC layer of BS, the retransmission realized in RLC layer of RNC. BSs cache the downlink data packet from RLC layer in MAC layer and transmit the data packet to user side. The MAC-e sublayer of user side transmits the retransmission indication to BSs by reapplying the retransmission indication in MAC-e PDU. The MAC-e sublayers of BSs analyze the retransmission indication from MAC-e PDU, and update MAC cache and retransmit the error data packet. The present invention can obviously reduce the data transmission time delay when user handoff between BSs, and can realize smooth handoff.</p> |
