A hair iron comprises a tubular or polygonal iron rod incorporating a heater section, and a handle provided with a temperature switch, wherein the clip consists of a clip heat transfer plate of good thermal conductivity on the inner surface side, a heat resistant resilient body on the side opposing the inner surface, and a heat insulating coating material covering them. Hair is wound around the iron rod from the vicinity of root thereof and heat curled using the tubular or polygonal iron rod and the clip as an auxiliary tool for heat propagation thus treating hair certainly in a short time regardless of difference in skill.
