A display device is provided to display an image as a main screen on a display wherein the image corresponds to a set selected area so that a user can easily confirm the selected area. A display device comprises the followings: a user selection unit(20) for setting an area on a display(10) as a selected area; an image processing unit(30) for processing image signals; and a control unit(40) for displaying an image corresponding to the set selected area as a main screen on the display(10) if the selected area is set and controlling the image processing unit(30) so that the image, which has been displayed on the display(10), is displayed as a sub-screen.
