VOICE STORAGE SYSTEM FOR VOYAGE DATA RECORDER

A voice storage system for a VDR(Voyage Data Recorder) is provided to more quickly find out the cause of a ship accident through the quick analysis of the ship accident by storing and reproducing voices from a bridge room or the circumference of the bridge room and voices for various voyages of the ship inputted through a communication device at high sound quality through a dual process. When a voice of a microphone of a multi-channel and a communication device is received, an audio-dedicated codec unit(10) performs the primary sampling of the received voice at a ratio of high sound quality or more having a certain level. A CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device)(20) multiplexes voices of respective channels sampled by the audio-dedicated codec unit(10), and transmits the multiplexed voice to a DSP(30). The DSP(30) has an McBSP(Multichannel Buffered Serial Port) for receiving and transmitting the voice of the multi-channel transmitted by the CPLD(20). The DSP(30) performs the down-sampling and cut-off filtering of the voice of the respective channels multiplexed by the CPLD(20), and performs the secondary sampling of the voice of the respective channels at high sound quality for which a host processor(50) wishes. A memory unit(40) stores the voice of the multi-channel transmitted from the McBSP. The host processor(50) compresses the voice of the high sound quality secondarily sampled by the DSP(30), and stores the compressed voice.
