A side guard for a commercial vehicle is provided to readily maintain chassis components installed under a trailer box and function as stairs for stepping up to the trailer box. A side guard for a commercial vehicle includes a chassis, a support frame, and a plurality of upper rails. The support frame is installed at the chassis. The plurality of upper rails are fastened to the support frame. Some upper rails are parallel installed at the chassis to be rotated with respect to the other upper rails. The upper rails are divided into a left center upper rail, a right center upper rail, and a center upper rail disposed therebetween. A lower end of the center upper rail is pivotally connected to the left and right upper rails through the medium of a hinge. An upper end of the center upper rail is connected to the left and right upper rails through the medium of a rotary link.
