HARD DISK DRIVE, METHOD FOR PARKING MAGNETIC HEAD OF HARD DISK DRIVE, AND RECORDING MEDIA FOR COMPUTER PROGRAM THEREFOR

An HDD(Hard Disc Drive), a magnetic head parking method of the HDD, and a recording medium recording a computer program for executing the method are provided to reduce a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) space for mounting capacitors, efficiently use the PCB space, and reduce producing unit cost by parking a magnetic head of the HDD in a certain parking area without using the counter electromotive force of a spindle motor and reducing the quantity of the capacitors electrically connected to a voice coil of a VCM(Voice Coil Motor). A VCM driving unit(10) supplies a driving current to a VCM. A controller(20) compares a supply voltage supplied to certain chips mounted in a PCB with a parking reference voltage which is preset as a voltage which is higher than a power-on reset voltage. When the supply voltage is lower than the parking reference voltage according to the compared result, a control unit(20) controls the VCM driving unit(10) to supply a current for parking a magnetic head(120) in a certain parking area to a voice coil(173) of the VCM through the VCM driving unit(10).
