<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing conveyance failures, jamming, etc. of paper from occurring in a conveying means arranged on the downstream side of a fixing means due to a web impregnated with oil, the influence of environmental temperature or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the fixing means having a cleaning web impregnated with a release agent and the conveying means which is disposed on the downstream side of the fixing means and conveys a recording medium subjected to fixing processing by the fixing means. In addition, the image forming apparatus is configured to provide a friction force detecting means for detecting the friction force of the conveying means and a control means for controlling the feed amount of the cleaning web, according to the detection result of the friction force detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
