<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft device for a vehicle, which can suppress a malfunction and can improve a user's convenience. <P>SOLUTION: The anti-theft device for a vehicle carries out an alarming operation when the change θ of the inclination of the vehicle has become a threshold value A or more in a guarding state as shown in Fig. 3. When the change θ of the inclination of the vehicle has become a threshold value B1 or more during the period from the start of the guarding state to the elapse of a required time T1 or when the change θ of the inclination of the vehicle has become a threshold value B2 or more larger than the threshold value A and B1, a limiting mode is performed, and further the alarming operation based on the change θ of the inclination of the vehicle after that time is not performed.
