PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use order determination method of a machining tool, capable of easily and rapidly determining use order of the machining tool capable of reducing a machining time. SOLUTION: In this use order determination method, each section model when slicing a work model and a product model in a height direction at prescribed intervals is generated, a machining section part obtained by removing a product section shape from a work section shape is generated, a machining time capable of shaving a portion by a tool of a maximum diameter, of the machining section part in each of a plurality of tool order patterns wherein the tools stored in a database are arranged in a descending order of a diameter, generates a section part remaining, and repeats calculation of a machining time of a portion capable of shaving a section part remaining by the tool of a diameter sequentially reduced in order according to the tool order pattern until no section part remaining exists, and generation of a section part further remaining, and extracts the tool order pattern having the shortest total machining time obtained by adding up the calculated machining times.
