PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM communication apparatus in which a signal peak factor value is reduced, signal distortion is eliminated, and an S/N is also excellent. SOLUTION: An OFDM communication apparatus comprises a symbol mapper 3 which generates a predetermined signal to be modulated by distributing transmission data into a plurality of carrier waves in which frequency components are orthogonal while partially overlapping with each other, as at least a transmission system, and an inverse Fourier transformer 5 which multiplexes the signal to be modulated in a time domain and outputs an OFDM signal. The apparatus further includes a Fourier transformer 15 which generates a plurality of orthogonal carrier waves from a reception OFDM signal as a reception system, and a symbol demapper 13 which performs predetermined demodulation processing. Moreover, a transmission system comprises a transmission system phase adjuster 22 which disperses phases of the plurality of carrier waves at random so as to uniformly distribute phase adjustment angles, the reception system comprises a reception system phase adjuster 32 which corrects the phases dispersed at random, and a peak factor value relating to an OFDM signal is reduced.
