PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device that can prevent increase in power consumption caused by repeating selective connection of signal lines in a second display panel. SOLUTION: The flat display device 1 includes: a first display panel 2 having a plurality of first scan lines G and a plurality of first signal lines S; a second display panel having a plurality of second scan lines GG and a plurality of second signal lines SS; and a second selection connecting circuit 32 which divides the plurality of second signal lines SS into a plurality of second signal line groups according to colors corresponding to first signal lines SG61 to SG180 in a first signal line group connected to a plurality of image signal supply lines K, which sequentially connects the plurality of second signal lines SS to the first signal lines SG61 to SG180 of the corresponding first signal line group each by the second signal group when a first display is carried out on the second display panel 3, and which connects the entire second signal lines SS to the first signal lines SG61 to SG180 of the corresponding first signal group when a second display is carried out on the second display panel 3.
