PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall structure capable of facilitating the repair of the mounting remains of a scaffold tie member in an external wall of a building and its construction method. SOLUTION: The external wall structure U is the external structure U capable of mounting the scaffold tie member, a basic end insertion hole 10 inserting the basic end section T of the scaffold tie member is made in an indoor side projection section 2a of the upper end face of an external wall panel 1 of the external wall structure U, and it is so constituted that a basic end engaging section 20 engaging with the basic end section T is provided to a panel frame 3 of the external wall panel 1 and that the basic end insertion hole 10 drawing the basic end section T therefrom is repaired after the removal of a scaffold.
