PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction agitation spot joining device in which a pin is easily and surely protruded/retracted by using a pin-pull-out motor for protoruding/retracting the pin from/to the top end of a joining tool and driving the pin-pull-out motor. SOLUTION: The friction agitation spot joining device for performing the spot joining by softening and agitating a work by the friction heat by the rotation of the pin 1, comprises an agitation motor 3 for rotating a joining tool 2 having the pin, and a pressurization motor for driving the joining tool straight, and the pin is protruded/retracted from/to the top end of the joining tool. The pin-pull-out motor 5 for protruding/retracting the pin from/to the top end of the joining tool is arranged behind the agitation motor integrally on the same axis. The pressurization motor is juxtaposed in parallel to the pin-pull-out motor, and a pressurizing screw shaft 12 to be actuated by the pressurization motor is arranged on the same axis as the pin-pull-out motor motor.
