The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat consisting of a cushion (2) and a backrest (3), wherein the motor vehicle seat being mounted in the motor vehicle, the backrest (3) is forwardly pivotable about a pivoting axis transversal with respect to the motor vehicle longitudinal axis in such a way that a flat loading surface is formed and said motor vehicle seat (1) comprises at least one cover board system (4) which is displaceable in such a way that the flat loading surface (4) is modified when the backrest (3) is forwardly pivoted. The cover board system (4) is arranged on the back side of the backrest (3) and is provided with a device, which is transversal to the motor vehicle longitudinal axis and consists of at least two wall board parts, wherein said board parts are displaceable in the motor vehicle longitudinal axis independently from each other in such a way that the flat loading surface is modified when the backrest is forwardly pivoted.
