The method involves generating compensation current (Ic), which is applied in phase opposition to interfering components in the current (Igs) of a direct-current voltage range (10). A reference value (Ih) is produced for controlling the compensation current from the current (Id) determined in an intermediate circuit (40), where the current (Id) is assigned between an alternating-current voltage range (30) and the direct-current voltage range. The current (Id) which is to be determined is uncoupled as voltage by a coupling resistor. An independent claim is also included for a power inverter for a vehicle for executing a method of compensating retroactions of the alternating-current voltage range into the direct-current voltage range in a power inverter.
