ACRYLIC PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FOR THE POLARIZING FILM

Provided is an acrylic-based adhesive composition for a polarizing film of a liquid crystal display device, which shows excellent adhesion durability under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, and imparts a high modulus and excellent stress-relieving characteristics to a polarizing film. The acrylic adhesive composition for a polarizing film comprises a (meth)acrylic copolymer containing a C2-C14 alkyl (meth)acrylate, shows a gel proportion of 10-55% as defined the formula of B/A X 100 and a swelling ratio of 30-110 as defined by the formula of C/B, and has a weight average molecular weight of the Sol dissolved into ethyl acetate from an adhesive of 800,000 or more and a ratio of Mw/Mn of 2.0-7.0. In the above formulae, A is the weight of the acrylic adhesive composition; B is the dry weight of the insoluble part of the acrylic adhesive composition after dipping the acrylic adhesive into ethyl acetate at room temperature for 48 hours; and C is the weight of the insoluble part of the acrylic adhesive composition swelled by ethyl acetate after dipping the acrylic adhesive into ethyl acetate at room temperature for 48 hours.
