A color filter array panel and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) including the color filter array panel are provided to prevent a black matrix from being corroded and improve reliability of the LCD by covering the top and side of a black matrix formed in a region other than an active region with a color filter. A color filter array panel includes an insulating substrate, black matrix elements(52a,52b,52c), color filter elements(54a,54b,54c,54d), and a common electrode(56). The black matrix elements are formed on the insulating substrate and define pixel regions. The color filter elements are formed on the insulating substrate and cover the top and side of a black matrix element formed in the region other than an active region. The common electrode is formed on the black matrix elements and the color filter elements. The color filter elements are formed of a photosensitive color resin.
