METHOD OF FABRICATING TOOTH MODEL FOR DENTAL TRAINING

It is intended to provide a method whereby various types of tooth models for dental training, each in a small amount, can be fabricated within a short period of time at a high dimensional accuracy level. A method of fabricating a tooth model for dental training, wherein an artificially imitated support pattern (4) or a cavity pattern (3) is formed in a tooth crown (1), which comprises the step of forming an artificial tooth model consisting of an artificially imitated tooth crown (1) and a tooth root (2), the step of preparing patterning data relating to a desired support pattern or a cavity pattern, the step of converting the patterning data as described above into cutting data for forming the support pattern or the cavity pattern, and the step of forming the support pattern or the cavity pattern by cutting the tooth crown of the artificial tooth model as described above by using the cutting data as described above. To obtain the patterning data, use may be made of three-dimensional pattern measurement by imparting the desired support pattern or the cavity pattern to the artificial tooth model as described above. Alternatively, the desired support pattern or the cavity pattern may be imparted on the data to the patterning data of the artificial tooth model as described above.
