A light-emitting device and a method for manufacturing the light-emitting device are provided to remove an unnecessary part of an emission layer by eliminating a part not coated by a sealing part among the emission layer by using the sealing part as a mask. In a method of manufacturing a light-emitting device where an emissive body is sealed between a substrate and a sealing part(32), an emission layer(L) forming process forms an emission layer made of an emissive material on a surface of the substrate. A sealing process forms the sealing part coating the emission layer partially. A removal process forms the emission part by removing a part not coated by the sealing part on the emission layer by using the sealing part as a mask. |
