A fluid control valve is provided to reduce the number of parts and costs by permitting a sealing ring to directly close an inner surface of an exhaust gas recirculation path. A fluid control valve assembly(1) comprises a housing(2), a valve(4), a seal ring(7), and a backup ring(8). The housing defines a flow channel. The valve has a ring type groove(6), and is arranged in the flow channel so that the valve has an open position for flowing fluid from the flow channel and a closed position for reducing flow of fluid in the flow channel. The seal ring has a gap extended between an inner surface and an outer surface, and a pair of side surfaces axially opposed from each other. The seal ring reduces flow of fluid through the housing by closing the housing when the valve is in the closed position. The backup ring is arranged in a groove in the vicinity of one of axial side surfaces of the sealing ring so as to prevent flow of fluid through the gap of the sealing ring when the valve is in the closed position. |
