A method and an apparatus for tracking a head position of a listener for virtual acoustics are provided to widen a listening sweet spot of the listener by using a video camera. In a method for tracking a head position of a listener for virtual acoustics, a face image of the listener is acquired by using two imaging units(400). Two dimensional coordinate values of the position of the listener are acquired by tracking a skin color of the image(420). Distance between the imaging unit and the listener is acquired by using triangular division(440).
