A machine tool is provided to prevent a cooling fluid inside a receipt portion from leaking out from a base by lessening a force of the cooling fluid passing through a labyrinthine path even in a case of the cooling fluid to enter into labyrinth sealing portion strongly. In a machine tool, a machine main body is installed on a base(2). A splash cover(3) covers an upper part of the base and a portion or the whole of the machine main body with being fixed to the upper part of the base. The splash cover comprises a front wall(3a), a right wall(3b), a left wall, a ceiling wall(3d), a right ground wall protruded from the upper part of the base toward a right inclination direction, and a left ground wall(3f) protruded from the upper part of the vase to a left inclination direction. A labyrinth sealing unit is installed between a ground part of a sunken receipt unit and a lower part of the splash cover. A control box(9) including a control device to control an operation of a machining center(1) is placed on a rear part of the splash cover. A leg unit(2a) is formed on lower four edge parts of the base capable of adjusting a height thereof.
