An arc extinguishing device of a gas insulated load break switch is provided to maximize lifetime by preventing the damage of a contact part by improving a fixed contactor and a moving contactor of the break switch from a slide contact method to a rotary contact method. In a load break switch for switching a high voltage to be dipped in a SF6 gas, First, second and third fixed contactors(12,14) are installed in a space of a tank and are assembled at three vertices of three triangular bases(11). A moving contactor(30) comprises a housing(31) connected to a rotation center axis(15) penetrating through the center of the bases, a blade(32) connected to one side of the housing and an insulation barrier(33). The moving contactor is separated by each base, and a contact stage(32a) of the blade contacts with the fixed contactors through synchronous rotation with the center rotation axis.
