A column for a pallet is provided to prevent breakage of a link or a latch, to protect the column from stacked materials by installing a guard unit in the front side and mounting the latch in a vertical member, and to return the latch to an original position without a special member. The column(100) for a pallet for stacking plural plate materials from the lower side toward the upper side in order is composed of a channel-shaped vertical member(110) set up on a support plate(140) fixed at the lower side in a longitudinal direction and formed with an opened front side; a bracket(120) fixed to both lateral sides of an inner part of the vertical member in a longitudinal direction and equipped with a bent guard unit in the front side; plural latches(130) composed of a square loading part formed in the front side and movably installed in the vertical member, wherein a protruded portion projected on both sides of the loading part is fitted into a hanging hole formed at both sides of the bracket; and a link member(150) whose upper and lower ends are fitted by projection units formed at both ends of a rear bent portion of the latch to interlock plural latches in order.
