<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of starting a fuel cell within a relatively short period without increasing energy necessary for starting and stopping, restraining deterioration of fuel cell characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with the fuel cell 19 generating power by using fuel gas at least containing hydrogen and oxidant gas containing oxygen, a humidifier successively humidifying gas to be humidified which is either the fuel gas to be supplied to the fuel cell or the oxidant gas, a humidified gas passage supplying humidified gas to the fuel cell through the humidifier, and a drying means drying the humidified gas passage, and dries the humidified gas passage by making the drying means operate during stopping process stopping the fuel cell. When stopping the fuel cell system, it is not necessary to evaporate the condensed water since the vapor can be removed by the drying means prior to the condensation of the vapor remained in the humidified gas passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
