<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical conductive film having high photoelectric conversion efficiency, having a narrow half-value width of absorption and excellent in color reproduction, a photoelectric conversion element, an image pickup element. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion film contains at least one compound expressed by a general formula. The photoelectric conversion element, the image pickup element, the method of applying an electric field to them and the element applied with the electric field are provided.
