<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a pipe with high dimensional accuracy so as to prevent the crush of a leading end thereof, which method can efficiently and stably manufacture the pipe with high dimensional accuracy by preventing the crush of the leading end of the pipe while securing excellent dimensional accuracy, when the punching operation is carried out by means of a die by continuously feeding the pipe while floating the pipe by inserting a plug into the pipe in order to achieve high dimensional accuracy, e.g. excellent wall thickness deviation, etc. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method, the punching process is carried out as follow: a pair of pipe holding rollers 5 are arranged in the vicinity of the inlet side of the die 2; and the position of the leading end face of a following material 3b is determined so as to be nearly equal to the position of the trailing end face of a preceding material 3a by means of the pipe holding rollers 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
