PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which reduces the scale of a circuit, also reduces an overhead in each processing part and improves the processing efficiency. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with; a plurality of processing parts A-D which share image processing; a parameter storage part 102 which holds parameters designating the operations of the respective processing parts; and a control part 103 which controls the plurality of processing parts. The control part 103 is provided with a sequence management part 110 which starts up each of the processing parts, according to sequences 112 indicating sequences for the start-up and finish of each processing part and confirms the finish of each processing part; and a parameter-setting part 111 which reads out parameters to the respective processing parts from the parameter storage part 102, according to a memory map 115, indicating the addresses of the parameters to the respective processing parts, prior to the start-up of each processing part by the sequence management part 110, and sets the parameters to the respective processing parts, in accordance with to the results of the reading.
