PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure eating quality of food such as "crispy touch" or "crunchy touch". SOLUTION: In this method, first a probe is inserted into the food to be measured at a given insertion rate to acquire vibration generated then. Secondly filtering process is made on waveform data on the above vibration to acquire waveform data in multifrequency bands. Finally, amplitude density per unit time regarding the above waveform data associated with each of the above frequency bands is acquired to measure eating quality of the above food from the above amplitude density in each frequency band.
