PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detection device wherein a plurality of pairs of rotation sensors and pulsars arranged side by side on the same rotation axis are arranged at a nearer mutual distance than hitherto. SOLUTION: In this rotation detection device wherein two pairs of pulsars 2, 3 and rotation sensors 4, 5 are arranged on the same rotation axis 1, each diameter dimension D<SB>1</SB>, D<SB>2</SB>of each pulsar 2, 3 is different, and the rotation sensors 4, 5 to be arranged close to the circumferential part of each pulsar 2, 3 are arranged at different levels in the radius direction.
