PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor in which a control device is efficiently cooled and erroneous operation due to noise is prevented. SOLUTION: An upper substrate 23 is supported by struts 27 vertically installed on a casing 26 or a lower substrate 22. A sheet-like magnetic shield means 28 is installed to cover the entire rear side of the upper substrate 23 so that an electromagnetic wave noise from the lower substrate does not affect elements mounted on the upper substrate 23. The end of the sheet-like magnetic shield means 28 is joined to the struts 27. The sheet-like magnetic shield means 28 is fixedly threaded so as to hold the struts 27 and the substrate 23. An insulation layer on the lower side of the sheet-like magnetic shield means 28 is peeled off near the struts. A conductive/heat conduction layer is brought into contact with the struts in an exposed state. Consequently, heat from the elements and heat around the sheet-like magnetic shield means can be released to the casing with a relatively low temperature through the struts.
