It is possible to provide a robust and high-speed (logarithm order calculation amount for a model number) image search method. The image search method includes: an extraction step for extracting a plurality of specific regions having characteristics capable of normalizing its shape regardless of the affine transform from one or more learning images, as affine invariable regions; a calculation step for calculating, for an affine invariable region as a reference, other affine invariable regions in its vicinity as a set; a deformation step for deforming the affine invariable region in the vicinity by using the transform form normalizing the shape of the affine invariable region as the reference; and an output step for outputting a combination of the affine invariable region and the affine invariable region in the vicinity and a deformed shape of the affine invariable region in the vicinity.
