A structure for preventing howling in a display set is provided to easily increase the weight of a speaker, thereby preventing image flicker due to vibration occurrence when the speaker outputs sound. A howling prevention structure in a display set comprises a cathode ray tube(20) installed in a cabinet(10), a speaker(100), installed in the cabinet(10), for outputting sound according to an image displayed on the cathode ray tube(20), and an additive weight for increasing weight of the speaker(100) itself. Alternatively, the howling prevention structure in a display set comprises the cabinet(10), an external frame installed in the cabinet(10), the speaker(100) having a voice coil provided in a magnetic circuit formed by a yoke and a vibration plate for reproducing sound, and a weight(200) installed to the external frame adjacent to the vibration plate of the speaker(100).
