<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which is excellent in ink absorptivity and surface glossiness, has an ink receiving layer with few omission of layer formation elements and which can provide a high quality print image in which bronze is inconspicuous and which is excellent in abrasion-resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium having at least an optical recording layer 2 and the ink receiving layer 5 on a translucent substrate 1, the ink receiving layer 5 has a gap type organic particle layer comprised by welding of a plurality of cationic organic particles so as to have gaps among the particles. Weighted mean particle diameter of the cationic organic particles is preferably 1-1000 nm and weight average molecular weight is preferably 60,000 or more. In addition, the cationic organic particles preferably have particle diameter distribution of 1.0-2.0 of ratio (Dw/Dn) between the weighted mean particle diameter Dw and number mean particle diameter Dn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
