<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system for achieving further use of display using an LED. <P>SOLUTION: The system turns a lens unit 54 of a digital camera 50 toward a traffic signal 14 and depresses a switching button 58. Thereby, a request signal transmission unit 55 transmits a request signal YS. The traffic signal 14 detects the request signal YS, and an LED display unit 46 transmits an LED flickering signal S1.
