<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antibody which is highly selective to the surface antigen of human nerve stem cells, and to provide a method for identifying and separating nerve stem cells and/or nerve precursor cells, Nestin high expression cells in live cell states by an immunological method using the new antibody. <P>SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody produced from a hybridoma of a myeloma with the antibody-producing cells of a mammal immunized with a homogenate of cultured human neurospheres. The monoclonal antibody was screened with a human brain tissue, and was consequently found to be a new antibody (HFB 184, HFB 25 antibody) highly selective to nerve stem cells. The antibody expresses in undifferentiated nerve stem cells, and selectively reacts with a surface antigen disappearing in the subsequent differentiation process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
