<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular battery state estimating device capable of enhancing the estimation accuracy of the discharge characteristic of an on-vehicle battery. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular battery state estimating device for estimating a state of an on-vehicle battery in a vehicle comprises an estimation means for estimating the discharge characteristic of a battery from the relationship between the first discharge current and the first discharge voltage measured during the cranking, and a correction means which temporarily stops the operation of a generator (e.g., an alternator) at the predetermined timing after an engine is started, starts the predetermined on-vehicle electric load, and corrects the battery discharge characteristic estimated by the estimation means by using the relationship between the second discharge current and the second discharge voltage measured at that time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
