<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain clear narrow band images by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: An endoscope system 10 is equipped with an endoscope processor 20, an electronic endoscope 40, and a light source unit 30. A light receiving surface of an image pickup device 43 has pixels covered with a first B filter transmitting light of a band of a part of blue, a second B filter transmitting light of a band of a part of blue, a G filter transmitting light of a band of green, or an R filter transmitting red light. The light source unit 30 has a light source 31 emitting white light and a light source filter 33 transmitting blue green light. The light source filter 33 is inserted in a light path of the light source 31 during a narrow band image mode. The narrow band images are displayed on a monitor 50 by performing prescribed signal processing on image signals generated during the narrow band image mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
