PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having an electronic view finder which does not give an unpleasant feeling to a photographer. SOLUTION: A fixed pattern image is stored in a data holding circuit 70. When detecting dust in through-image display, a message is displayed, and the position of the image of the dust is detected from a difference between imaging data obtained by imaging in such a state where the camera 1 turns toward the sky and the fixed pattern image.
