PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference from occurring in data communication between a radio and a plurality of pieces of data communication equipment connected to the radio for efficient operation. SOLUTION: A communication system has at least one radio, and the plurality of pieces of data communication equipment for transmitting and receiving data to and from the radio. In the communication system, propagation paths connected to the plurality of pieces of data communication equipment from the radio are branched according to the number of pieces of data communication equipment, there are at least one signal open/close switch of transmission, and at least on signal open/close switch of reception in the transmission path between the data communication equipment and the radio each, and a control signal is added to the communication signal between the radio and the plurality of pieces of data communication equipment for controlling the signal open/close switch.
