PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for putting in an article capable of surely putting the article from an opening of a packaging bag into the bag. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for putting in the article puts in articles by expanding an opening end of the sheetlike packaging bag 2 to form an opening 18 and putting the article 4 from the opening 18 into the packaging bag 2, and includes an article guide 7 having a guide member 20 which is inserted into the opening 18 when the article 4 is to be put into the bag 4 and expands when the article 4 passes through the inside for permitting the article 4 to pass.
