PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside hood structure for a vehicle connection portion attached to a high-speed railroad vehicle exceeding 270 km/h, capable of effectively reducing noise and traveling resistance during high-speed traveling, realizing a good following property (hereinafter called "a displacement absorbing property") to large displacement input at the time of branching off of an in-groove track, facilitating separation of the vehicle connection portion in maintenance and the like, decreasing the weight of components for high-speed traveling, and saving an installation space of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the outside hood structure 1 for vehicle connection portion equipped to railroad vehicle both edge portions opposite to each other in the connection portion of the railroad vehicle, the vehicle connection portion is covered by a pair of outside hood forming members 2 abutting on each other. The outside hood forming member 2 is equipped with an air chamber 3, and a covering rubber sheet 4 covering the air chamber 3 and laid on a connection surface of the vehicle both edge portions.
