A stop piece is provided for limiting the maximum screw path of a sleeve nut onto a complementary connector (6), so that when the sleeve nut is screwed on, a resilient sealing element (5) is forcedly compressed, though not damaged or destroyed. The stop piece is preferably formed in the internal surface of the sleeve nut. An independent claim is included for a further electrical connector.
