RANDOM COPOLYMER OF OXAZOLINE

A random copolymer produced from a monomer mixture of 2-ethyl-2-oxazoline and 2-isopropyl-2-oxazoline and showing a substantially monodispersing property; a method for production of the random copolymer; and a 2-isopropyl-2-oxazoline homopolymer produced using a specialized initiator. The polymer shows temperature-responsibility in an aqueous solution at a wide range of temperatures and is a useful material for use in the technical fields such as surface chemistry and biomaterials.
