A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising silicon as a negative electrode active material is provided to inhibit deterioration of an active material caused by a charge and discharge cycle and to improve a cycle characteristic largely. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a negative electrode using a negative electrode active material containing silicon, a positive electrode, an electrolytic salt, and a solvent. The electrolytic salt consists of a first electrolytic salt and a second electrolytic salt. The first electrolytic salt comprises boron and fluorine. The second electrolytic salt has a lower decomposition ratio than the first electrolytic salt on the surface of the negative electrode during charging and discharging. |
