The system has a pair of equipments comprising electrical interfaces connected using electrical communication bus. The equipments exchange information through an optical communication bus connected to the interfaces. A connector (30) is provided at ends of the optical communication bus. The connector has a conversion component (45) e.g. LED, laser diode, for converting electrical signals into optical signals, and conversion component (46) e.g. phototransistor, for converting optical signals into electrical signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bidirectional bus for communicating data in the form of digital signals between avionic equipments (2) an avionic equipment. |
