A compressor is provided to prevent noises due to trembling of valve plate when striking a sucking lead valve by forming ribs at an air intake room of a housing and directly supporting a part of the valve plate. A compressor comprises a front housing and a rear housing(130), a cylinder block mounted between the front and rear housings and formed with plural cylinder bores, plural pistons placed in a cylinder bore and interlocked with rotation of a swash plate rotated with the driving shaft to be reciprocated, a valve unit installed between a housing having air intake and discharge rooms(131,132) and the cylinder block and mounted with a sucking lead valve(182) and a releasing lead valve at both sides, and a supporting unit(135) formed to directly support the part of the valve plate at the position corresponding to a valve plate(182a) of the sucking lead valve in order to prevent noises due to trembling of the valve plate. The supporting unit is extended with ribs(136) at one side of the inner wall of the air intake room.
