PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording-reproducing apparatus enabling a user to recognize the validity of a keyword when a configuration capable of adding or changing keywords for search is employed in the recording-reproducing apparatus capable of searching a program having possibility of prolonging broadcast time from an EPG on the basis of a keyword.

SOLUTION: When a user reproduces a program recorded so that the finish time of recording reservation is prolonged, it is determined whether the program is actually prolonged depending on the prolonged part has been reproduced. The degree of actual utilization of each keyword for searching a program having a prolonged broadcast time is calculated as a hit rate of a keyword from a result of determination. The user can judge the validity of each keyword based on the hit rate of the keyword.
