PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid supply tube which smoothly follows up a carriage when the carriage is moved, while the tube is simply constituted, low-cost, and highly reliable. SOLUTION: An elastic member 5 constituting the liquid supply tube is arranged such that the cross section shape of the member 5 is changed so as to be reduced in its cross-section area from an end connected to an ink tank to one connected to a sub tank.
