PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache system and a caching method for storing a file data by dividing a cache memory into memory blocks. SOLUTION: The method for storing the file data comprises steps of: receiving an instruction to request a first data for a first file from an application; searching a memory block storing the first data being requested; setting reference information to represent that the memory block storing the first data is referred to by the application; transmitting the first data stored in the memory block to the application; and resetting the reference information of the memory block storing the first data.
